OSS Collective Gold Medal Act by Congress

Doundoulakis Blog 8 0

CREATED DURING THE DARK DAYS OF WORLD WAR II, THE LEGACY OF THE OSS SERVES AS A REMINDER THAT EFFECTIVE COORDINATION OF OUR VITAL SECRETS IS PARAMOUNT TO THE PRESERVATION OF OUR COUNTRY. — Rep. Bill Foster, IL

THE OSS COLLECTIVE GOLD MEDAL WAS FINALLY AWARDED TO THE OSS SOLDIERS FOR THEIR SERVICE DURING WORLD WAR II. The OSS Gold Medal Act was sponsored by Rep. Bob Latta, of Ohio. Many OSS soldiers hailed from the Buckeye State, including Arthur Jibilian, Stephanie Czech Rader, and Helias Doundoulakis, who was born in Canton, OH.

This is the C-SPAN program from the Capitol of the United States Congress. Begin viewing at 5:28:14 (hrs:min:sec) with Rep. Huizenga from Michigan.

About the Author

Written by Doundoulakis

I am 91 years old, a veteran of WWII, where I served in the U.S. Army as part of the U.S. Army Forces in the Middle East, or (USAFIME), and the Office of Strategic Services, the OSS. This is my third book I have written, this time with the help of Gabriella Gafni. I hope you enjoy my memoirs as much as I did writing, "Trained to be an OSS Spy."
